Drug & Alcohol Support for Gen Z & Young Adults

Understanding the Real Story Behind the Party Culture

If you’re a young adult navigating a world where drinking, vaping, weed, or pills feel like part of the background noise, know that you’re not alone. Whether you're questioning your relationship with substances, or just wondering “Is this normal?”, it takes strength to pause and ask that question.

As a therapist, I work with young adults like you…people who are figuring things out, living through stress, managing anxiety or trauma, and trying to make sense of their choices. Sometimes drugs and alcohol become coping tools. Sometimes they’re just part of the crowd. But sometimes they begin to take a toll.

A Personal Note From Me

This work is personal for me. I started drinking as an early teenager, not because I was trying to cause trouble, but because it was what everyone seemed to be doing. The truth is, I didn’t know what was “normal.” I ended up in AA meetings surrounded by men decades older than me. I was binge drinking in high school and didn’t know where else to turn. It felt awkward, out of place, and sometimes even funny. But it planted a seed that maybe there was something more going on under the surface.

That experience helped shape the kind of therapist I became.

What I Offer

This is not about labeling you an “addict” or shaming you for choices. This is about:

  • Having honest, non-judgmental conversations

  • Exploring why substances might feel necessary

  • Learning healthier ways to cope with anxiety, loneliness, depression, or pressure

  • Understanding trauma, family dynamics, and identity formation

  • Exploring the link between neurodivergence (like ADHD or sensory overwhelm) and substance use

  • Helping you define your own version of balance, boundaries, and healing

Whether you’re sober-curious, cutting back, or somewhere in between, I meet you where you are.

What Makes This Work Different

I bring lived experience. I understand the culture around drinking, weed, Adderall, and how it’s all woven into everything from parties to finals week. I don’t assume your story. I help you tell it on your terms.

As a licensed therapist with years of experience working with teens, college students, and young adults, I know that this phase of life is messy, layered, and full of pressure. I also know that when the pressure gets too much, you might just want to check out. I get it. That’s why I’m here.

Not Sure If You Need Help? That’s Okay.

You don’t need to hit “rock bottom” to explore support. If you’re:

  • Blacking out more often than you’d like

  • Feeling anxious or ashamed after using

  • Wondering why you can’t stop when you said you would

  • Using substances to cope with pain, trauma, or emotional overload

  • Just feeling off and wondering what your options are

You’re already taking the first step by being curious.
